Bling

Necklace: USC
£12
Crop Top: Primark
£4
Skirt: USC
£35
Boots: eBay
£22

First outfit of the Christmas season... Me and Jonathan went for our 'Christmas meal' together this week so i treated myself to a new skirt and necklace for the occasion. Picture isn't very clear but the necklace is quite a statement piece with black and silver jewels and a gold chain. The skirt looks amazing and has different rows of jewels and beads all the way round but wasn't very comfy after a four course meal! Good for a night out when you're not sitting down much though and very christmassy! My mum told me i looked very 'blingy' which is probably a huge insult but i took it with a pinch of salt...

I've had the boots a while and wear them ALL the time because even though they're fairly high they are soo comfy and go with pretty much any outfit.

Hopefully there will be some more sparkly things to come over the festive period, probably the time when there's loads to post about on here!

Tartan is Back

Shirt: Internationale
£16.99
Skater Skirt: Missguided
£16.99

As if anyone could escape the fact that tartan is back with a vengeance. I've followed like a sheep and bought a few different tartan pieces. I already had a few scarfs but I've added to the collection with these two pieces. The shirt is a sheer oversized shirt and looks cool with a knitted jumper or statement necklace. The skirt is a nice thick material with a silky lining and elastic waistband and looks cute teamed with a turtle neck crop top or cropped jumper. You can buy it here. I wore it with a cropped fluffy black jumper and chunky heeled boots the other day. I'm sure I will add to my tartan collection over the next few winter months :)

Cigarette Pants

Cigarette Pants: TopShop
£38

I haven't posted for far too long, but the last few weeks have been hectic and I haven't had a spare minute. But I'm back and this is one of my latest purchases. I saw these in Topshop when they first came in but resisted buying them. When my grandma died a few weeks ago she put in her will that she wanted bright colours at her memorial so I had an excuse to buy these and an occasion to wear them! I love the colours and pattern and they look really striking when they're on. Topshop is one of the only places that make trousers and jeans that fit me so they are worth paying a bit extra for.

Purchases

Boots: Dorothy Perkins
£35
T-shirt Dress: MRP.com
£6
Waist Belt: MRP.com
£3
Contrast Top: H&M
£14.99
Knitted Headband: H&M
£4.99

So here is this weeks purchases/deliveries so far. I ordered a few things from mrp.com and they took a while to arrive but finally got here yesterday. I really like the belt and T-shirt dress pictured above but i also ordered another T-shirt dress and some earrings which I didn't really like. My housemate bought the dress and I'll probably just keep the earrings.

I've been looking for some flat/low black boots for ages but I'm REALLY fussy about shoes and boots so couldn't find any I liked for agees. I finally found these ankle boots when I was shopping in Leeds and for £35 they're a bargain. I love the contrast of the suede and snakeskin look and they are very comfortable. You can also find them here.

The pictures don't really show the contrast on the black H&M top but its got chiffon arms and back and the front panel is like a snake skin textured jersey. It's baggy and fairly long which is what I love. I've been buying a lot of black recently because I have to wear all black to my new job at Moda in Pelle (Yes I FINALLY got a fashion retail job!!). I had a £5 off voucher for H&M so picked up the headband while I was there. Another bargain :)

Baby Blue

Shirt: Zara £39.99
Knitted Mix Stitch Jumper: Topshop £36
One of my housemates at Uni got this shirt and I was so jealous! It's really expensive for the material it is but I got it on holiday in Spain so it worked out about £5 cheaper because of the exchange rate! It's now probably in my top 5 favourite items of clothing and so many people have said they love it.
The jumper is just a plain knitted jumper from topshop. Fairly basic but warm and love the cornflower blue colour. It is available here.

Be Jewelled

Embellished Top: Zara - £39.99

Saw this top in Zara and immediately fell in love but persuaded myself it was too expensive to buy. When I got home I couldn't stop thinking about how amazing it was so then proceeded to look in every Zara i came across for the next 2 weeks but as always when you want something you can't find it. Eventually I caved and ordered it online. The material is really thick and has a boxy shape which looks really cool with skinny jeans. I've had soo many comments from people so it was definitely worth the money!

Unexpected Gifts Are The Best

Bit of a soppy post but here we go ...
So it was mine and my boyfriends 6 month anniversary this week and not only did he book a surprise night away he also got me this Ted Baker make-up bag i've wanted for ageeees. I had a job interview today and he went shopping while he waited for me and when I got back he gave me this. Completely unexpected and took me by surprise. I always think that surprise gifts are soo much better!

It's available here.

Skirts Skirts Skirts

Clockwise from top left
1. Topshop: Mix Jacquard Wrap Skirt - £45
2. Missguided: Voileta Embroidered Organza Skater Skirt - £21.99
3. River Island: Black Mixed Print Colour Block Pencil Skirt - £25
4. H&M: Quilted Skirt - £14.99
5. Miss Selfridge: Black and White Check Skater - WAS £35 NOW £12
6. H&M: Patterned Skirt - £19.99
7. River Island: Black Sequin Embellished Tube Maxi Skirt - £65
8. New Look: Red Check Jersey Skater Skirt - £14.99

I would love to own all of these skirts but who wouldn't? I think my favourite is number 7 - the river island sequin embellished maxi. I reckon you'd have to be slim to pull it off but on a night out or at a Christmas party this would definitely be a head turner. With a plain black crop top and some chunky heels with a bright coloured clutch it would be an outfit to remember! Can't afford £65 on a student budget at the moment but maybe if I get invited to a big event (I wish!) over Christmas I may have to treat myself.

Summer Throwback

Dress: Pull and Bear
20 Euros
Sunglasses: RayBan Wayfarer
£120 Available from ASOS
Feeling very wintery today as it's chucking it down with rain and freezing cold outside. Trying to keep warm in the house which made me think about going on holiday again. I bought this dress from Pull & Bear in Lanzarote for only 20 euros! Such a bargain and it's one of my favourite purchases over summer. It the comfiest and easiest dress to wear ever. Wishing I had bought it in another colour (asuming they had one) because I wore it soo much on all my holidays this year. As for my RayBans I've worn them and worn them since I got them. Don't need another pair of sunglasses because they go with everything and never really go out of fashion.

Now I just want to be back in sunny Turkey getting nice and brown instead of wrapped up in rainy England paler than ever!

Kate Moss Collection

Kate Moss Lipstick Number 107
Boots £5.49

Got this a few weeks ago. I've wanted it for a while but every time I went to buy it they had always run out of this colour (clearly the most popular). The picture doesn't really do it justice but the colour is a dark red / burgundy and it has a matte finish to it. I've worn it loads of times and it stays on really well even after eating and drinking. I would really recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Bring Back the Scrunchie

Top two scrunchies: New Look
Grey Velvet: eBay

Black Velvet Bow Scrunchie: eBay

We're going back to the 80's and 90's bringing back the fashion of high pony tails and scrunchies. Not sure if i feel like a little kid again when I have my scrunchie in my hair but when I see other people wearing them I think they look really cool. I've bought a few, two velvet and my friend gave me two other which are floral and pink. Sometimes i put them round the edge of a bun which probably looks less childish.

Beauty Wishlist

Being a poor student means I can't justify spending lots of money on nice cosmetics so I make do with cheaper brands for most things. The only thing I will ALWAYS spend more on is foundation. I currently use Clinique Even Better which is really natural and I'd really recommend it. I could spend all day putting things on my wishlist but here are just a few.

Diesel Loverdose is a perfume I've wanted for ages just really like the sweet smell. Bourjois Blush in Rose Ombre is a really nice peachy colour. Not too pink but not a dark bronzer. A few of my friends use the Benefit High Beam and say it's really good for under your eyes and eyebrows so really want to give that a go. Mac Lipstick in Shy Girl is an orange / nude colour which I am desperate to get. It looks like a great colour for daytime use. I want to try Chanel Perfection Fumiere Foundation simply because having perfect skin is the first thing I would change about myself if i could. FINALLY I am forever painting my nails and this Essie dark grey colour looks gorgeous for the winter.

Anyway feel like I'm writing an essay but that's it for this wishlist!

Micheal Kors Love

Micheal Kors
Rose Gold Chronograph
£229 Goldsmiths

I am so in love with Micheal Kors watches. I've been drooling over them since before last Christmas but never have the guts to splash out that much on a watch. I knew I wanted a rose gold one and when my friend got this one but in gold I decided that was the one for me. I worked full time over summer so saved up quite a lot which justified a little treat on my final pay check. Still totally in love with it two months later!

All about Coats

Biker Jacket: H&M
£29.99
Denim Jacket: Levi's
£65

First post is all about coats. I like winter because you get to wear layers which means showing off lots of different clothes all at once. These two are my newest coat purchases. I bought the grey one from H&M for £30 (but got a cheeky 20% off at a student event - bargain!) and the denim jacket is from Levi's and was £65. Last year I thought the leather arms on jackets were a bit tacky but I've grown to like them and think they make this coat stand out more. I've seen the fur lined denim jackets on the high street (Topshop) and wanted one for a while but when I saw it in the Levi's outlet I just couldn't resist. Got loads of use out of both of them and haven't got bored of either yet!
