You may or may not know that I study fashion at uni in Manchester. International Fashion Marketing to be more precise and I'm going into my final year hopefully graduating next summer! I'm always on the look out for opportunities to get involved in the fashion industry and I recently stumbled (kind of) across a small company called Fashion Rider.
I had a meeting with the owner Susie who gave me a bit more insight and information about the company and also an opportunity to help out a little bit which will be fab experience! She has this really cool idea where she lists on her website a range of creative individuals who are passionate about photography, fashion, music and design and aims to help them find work and build a portfolio for themselves. She is bringing together a range of fantastic individuals who all have great talent and putting them in one place on her website for others to see.
There is a vast range of creatives meaning that almost every area of the industry is covered so that people who require something specific will be able to find this. Some of the artists have had incredible experience and featured in the most well known places such as make-up artists who have worked for Nike and Tom Ford and photographers who have worked for Urban Outfitters and Cosmopolitan. Fashion Rider is an incredible resource for anyone in this industry who are looking for talented stylists, photographers, hair and make-up artists or designers with a wealth of talent and skills.
I'm really looking forward to finding out more about the company and I can definitely recommend having a browse at the website or other social media sites if you're interested in fashion and beauty. I think it's interesting to look through all the artists even though I don't need one for any projects or work I do at the moment because you can read about each one and their previous work and what they recommend etc!
